Overview Of High Voltage Fuse

Apr 12, 2022

It can be said that the fuse is the simplest and earliest used in electrical equipment to protect the circuit in electrical appliances. This is mainly because the fuse can disconnect the faulty current. Now the fuse is used so widely because of its simple internal structure, low cost, convenient maintenance and more flexible use. However, there are some disadvantages, that is, the capacity is small and the characteristics of protective electrical products are not stable enough.

The internal structure of high-voltage fuse basically includes arc extinguishing device, that is, the so-called fuse tube, metal fuse, also known as melt, contact and insulating base supporting the fuse. In the fuse, the classification basis of high-voltage fuse and low-voltage fuse is voltage. Generally, copper or silver will be selected as the common fuse material of high-voltage fuse, because copper has strong conductivity and good thermal conductivity, but copper is easy to oxidize in the air, so it needs to be plated with silver on the surface for protection.
